LISTEN TO MY NEW SINGLE "SICK OF IT"!

"Sick of It" is an anthem to being tired of receiving unsolicited advice from men. Drawing sonic inspiration from Y2K pop punk rockers like Avril Lavigne and Sum 41, the track is now streaming on all online platforms!

BIO

Phoebe Silva is a Los Angeles based singer, songwriter, violinist and multi-instrumentalist. Her original music combines elements of jazz, folk, retro-pop and blues to create a wholly unique and timeless sound, evoking frequent comparisons to artists such as Amy Winehouse, Linda Rondstat, Hailey Reinhart, Lily Allen, Adele and Gwen Stefani.

Phoebe has performed all over the US, Canada and the UK as a member of various indie bands and theater productions. In the four years since she relocated to Los Angeles, she has become a sought- after violinist and backup singer for local indie artists in all genres, from folk, country and bluegrass, to pop, soul, jazz and alternative rock. She has built up an extensive resume as a live and studio session musician and has played venues all over town including the Satellite, the Troubadour, the Hi Hat, the Hotel Cafe, the Peppermint Club, the Whisky a Go-Go, and many more.

A classically trained violinist from the age of 3, Phoebe’s mother and grandmother were both Suzuki method violin teachers who passed their knowledge down to her. At age 11 she began to study classical vocal technique after developing an interest in musical theater.

Phoebe studied voice, method acting and other performance techniques at the University of the Arts where she earned a BFA in Theater Arts, specializing in musical theater. For nearly a decade she performed professionally in regional and off-Broadway theater productions and was a member of the Actor’s Equity Association.

Phoebe is self taught on mandolin, ukulele and guitar. Her songwriting is largely lyric and melody driven. She draws influence from her lifelong love of jazz standards, classic American folk songs, R&B, 50’s and 60’s rock n’roll, Motown, as well as the indie folk-pop artists she grew up listening to in the 90’s. Her passion is creating music in any genre that feels timeless, essential at its emotional core, and communicates authentic truths in a direct manner.
